Not much happens in this section the things which I can remember at the top of my mind are1.The wise ones order Aviendha to step up a bit regarding their spying of Rand, which she refuses at first but when Egwene tells her she can help her with the issue she argues with her. Damn all women in WOT world are so stubborn and we haven't got to Nyaneve yet.
2.Rand finally decides to move the Aiel out of Rhuidean as he is done waiting, he dispatches some riders to the Ogier to ask them to build Rhuidean anew.
3.Rand gets attacked by dark hounds and uses balefire in the process to destroy them, he doesn't even know that he has used Balefire, he comes to know when Morarine tells him that.
4.Morarine begs ya you heard right to Rand that he let her know the plans, its like some vision she has seen in Rhuidean which tells her that time is running out. She also pledges to Rand that she won't play any Aes Sedai games with him.
5.Nyaneve,Elayne along with Thom & Julian are heading to Amadacia and they encounter some white cloaks on the journey they manage to escape showing the white cloaks that they are normal traders.
6. Nyaneve and Elayne are kidnapped by a Yellow sister who prepares to send them to the tower, she has got her orders from the Tar valon do that, Julian and Thom help them to escape the clutches of yellow sister.
Moraine's willingness to defer to Rand shows just how desperate she is to help. Exactly what did she see inside the rings?
Nyaneve and Elayne being captured was almost self fulfilling. They told Thom and Julian how they didn't need them. Of course they don't know yet about the shake up at the White Tower.

I'm think that was the first time we got to see the effect of balefire in terms of taking away something that happened. Mat's necklace will come in really helpful against the black ajah.
Balefire is an interesting plot device. It's a bit akin to the sonic screwdriver in Doctor Who though. It makes it a dangerous tool for the author that can hurt the story if used too much.
I'm not sure id pay the cost Mat did, but that necklace is really powerful.
