A. Fae (truthaboutbooksbyafae) | 7 comments Hi readers, writers, bookish folks. This is Ashley Fae from Truth About Books by A. Fae. I wanted to take the chance to introduce a new event. Starting September 15th, once a week we will be featuring one short story on our blog under our EVENTS tab. We are asking you to begin submitting your short stories whenever they're ready. The genre is up to you, so long as it is NOT non-fiction or erotica. It must be well-edited and 6000 words or less.
Along with the featured short story, once a month our staff will choose our favorite and they will receive a gift card. We encourage all our writers and readers to give it a go. If you have a WIP (work in progress) that you'd like to give a shot, now's the time!!!
Please note that things are still under construction, but we encourage all readers to give constructive feedback. If things go as we think they might, we may start doing this on a regular basis. We hope everyone will enjoy this.
If you have any questions, or would like to submit, please only email me (afae@tabbyafae.com) or my partner Bob Boze (bobboze@tabbyafae.com). We hope to be reading you soon!

Kaje Harper | 17382 comments Sounds fun. What is the rights situation - does the author retain the full right to publish the story elsewhere?

A. Fae (truthaboutbooksbyafae) | 7 comments Yes, of course. As I said, we'll have more info up soon. Really it's just for fun, practice, and feedback. The story belongs to you and only you to do with as you wish.

Please see the correction to the word count. It should have been 6000 words not 3000. Thanks.
