Shelly | 12 comments I've been reading the series in single issues and I think it's one of the best titles Marvel is publishing right now. The characters are all interesting and seem real, there's a real coming-of-age feel to Kamala's story, and it's nice to get an ethnically diverse setting.

Hong (zen_strike) | 9 comments I'll echo the two posters above and 'marvel' (hahahaha sorry) at how great this series is. Kamala's an awesome character, and she is written so well: she really feels like a teenager with a drive for justice--or an eagerness to understand what justice is for her. The stories are a great combination of humour, action, and drama, and I think we can all agree that Marvel as a whole is best when it manages to strike that balance. This first volume in particular is one that I love to re-read: it's a great origin story, and we're introduced to Kamala, her friends, and her family in a matter of pages that leave us feeling committed to their stories.

Really, really great read.

Shannon (frejafolkvangar) | 107 comments I adore Ms. Marvel. I like that she's a total upbeat fangirl instead of a brooding angsty teen. And I love all the little details in the background of the art.
