I have recently read Paper Valentine and reading it made me realize how much I actually appreciate The Replacement. I think the characters are just so much more vivid and interesting and the plot is more unique. Paper Valentine was alright, but The Replacement definitely outshines it, at least in my mind. And part of that reason is the narrator, Mackie Doyle. Don't ask me why I'm super attracted to the skinny, pale, sickly, awkward, and shy Mackie, but I seriously am. The first time I read this book I fell in love with him. He's just one of those characters you can't help but sympathize towards and then fall in love with. He is so cuteee! I don't know, maybe that's a me thing, but I love him so much haha.
