This forest is known for the black barked and gray leaved trees which grow there, which have the unusual attribute of having bright crimson sap. These woods are generally rather hard to get through, since the trees are large and tall enough to block out any light, even in the middle of the day... and all lights brought into Midnight Forest seem to go out after a few minutes. The local animal life consists completely of absolutely silent creatures who see best in the dark, or who find their way only by sound... which leaves the forest a very quiet place.
