Shadow and Bone & Siege and Storm discussion

Thorughout summer a book was given to me to be read, Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. Being the first of the trilogy, Bardugo introduces Alina Starkov, who might just be a typical orphan afraid to cross the Fold, a dangerous gap crossing along side her native country Ravaka. This Fold, which contained giant birds with human like appereance and total darkness, have had been affecting terribly Ravaka's citizens throughout centuaries. Along Alina's side came Mal, her bestfriend, both fearing of the risks they would have as soon as they entered into the Fold. An instinct revealed an ability not even Alina was aware of acquaring, and was withdrawn from her world to become Grisha.

I consider this book excellent for those readers who enjoy the unpredictable tension and cliffhangers the author puts into situations. Readers who are pasionate about having action will fall in love with the book, since it contains topics such as monsters, betrayal and abilities that allow a group of people to control certain elements. I offer Sofia Ramirez Artuz to check out this book. From past experiences, I am consient that Sofia appreciates a good book which includes some kind of action, but at the same time it does not become the main theme. The book also creates this energy in which you are put into a witness point of view, yet having a great balance with the ominous narrator.
