Week Number One! (FIRST CONTEST EVER!)
This week's featured genre is... *drumroll please*... FOLKLORE!
Write a story/poem/whatever that is in this genre! Folklore is defined as: "the traditional beliefs, customs, and stories of a community, passed through the generations by word of mouth".
We aren't passing it down by word of mouth, so I guess we're not completely accurate.... Anyway, your story can be completely made up with a whole new culture and everything, or a variation on some real folklore. Put your own spin on it, and DO NOT plagiarize! (Doing so will ban you from all future contests and your entry will be disqualified)
Minimum length is 400 words, and it can't be toooo long, but there is no specific maximum.
Prize: 8 word dollars for the grand prize winner, 2 word dollars for the runner-up(s).
Start date: Today (Sept. 5, 2016)- Sept. 12, 2016
The winners will be announced with the next contest and are decided with a poll. Please please please try your best to participate in voting and entering as much as you can!
