Hooray Blue, the cat is found. Was it hiding for a reason? Did the vet say it's OK. Sorry, I don't know -- is it male or female?

I don't know much about cats, but I've heard that with some animals they hide when they feel sick. It's an instinct to hide from predators when they're sick because in the wild the predators look for sick animals that are easy prey.

I made up a quote because apparently nothing is happening anymore over several days. So with this I take my leave:

    So can you teach me how to gossip without getting into trouble and misunderstandings and without making people feel like they're being insulted? I don't get it. Hurt feelings -- sounds irrational... Oh, I guess that's what feelings are if they come out of nowhere and are not rooted in actual facts. Seems very primitive like animal instincts: attack and defend, lookout for danger, look for mates and fight the competition...

    I've heard of the Emergency Broadcast System. They used to interrupt the TV broadcast with tests before there was cable TV. Originally they were supposed to broadcast information and instructions in case of a nuclear attack by the Russians. That was a long time ago. Now they interrupt programs to announce alerts for tornadoes and hurricanes and stuff like that. But they still interrupt programs once in a while for a test of the system. I remember the first time they used it for a storm, I thought ut oh when they said, "This is NOT a test. Please standby for important information..." I thought it was either a mistake or a nuclear war. Anyway, I doubt that in a real emergency it'll work. Too many false alarms -- nobody's going to listen.
    But I've never heard of the Emergency Gossip Alert system. Sounds interesting. A picnic and kite flying sounds good. Put a message on our carrier pigeon...

    I'd never stand in the way of a chicken. If you want to make that for a picnic, go right ahead.
    On my planet we don't have an EMERGENCY GOSSIP ALERT system but we do have an extensive communication system that sometimes gets interrupted with emergency alerts: what we do have is an EMERGENCY SATIRE ALERT SYSTEM but it can get quite confusing because it usually starts with a cough and an 'ahem' and sometimes the announcer just has a cold.
    One of the outer planets in our federation once had a nuclear war over a fine satire. It was quite good while it lasted. But the brouhaha isn't a problem anymore because the planet exploded. It was somewhat sad but everyone on that planet wanted to die anyway. It all started when someone told a bad joke. They had a genetic defect making them all prone to crying a river and there were many floods that made them more sad until there was a critical mass of sobbing.
