Just curious what strategy you all are taking with this book. It seems like starting at the beginning and going linearly might not be the best way. Curious what you all are doing.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you! My copy has a fairly detailed introduction with book-by-book analyses, so I'm reading through a book at a time, and then going back to the analysis of that particular book to get some deeper insight into it.
What did you decide to do in the end?

In the end I decided to take the epic as an anthology. Given work commitments, family, and other obligations, completing the book seemed to be asking too much of myself, so I've been picking at individual books and reading it as an anthology. This seems to serve me. Even though I don't have the volume that you have -- there's plenty of book by book analysis out there.
