Biography
Renée Raudman is an actress and voice actress who performed the English voice of Nastasha Romanenko in the video game Metal Gear Solid (under the pseudonym of Renne Collette) and its GameCube remake (using her real name). She also provides the voice of the recurring character Ms. Butterbean on the cartoon series The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Outside of voiceover, Raudman has recorded over 30 audiobook narrations, including as a co-reader on Dark of Night by Suzanne Brockmann and the Kate Daniels series by New York Times best selling author Ilona Andrews.

Raudman has also appeared on camera in recurring roles on various TV shows such as 3rd Rock from the Sun, Passions, and in quick one-episode character spots on The Drew Carey Show, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, and Diagnosis: Murder.

Raudman is one of the most requested narrators in the multibillion dollar audiobook industry, having recorded well over 300 books since 2006. She said in a Business Insider article, When audiobooks were first being produced for a more mass market, the trend was toward a 'single-voiced' read with, at most, subtle changes for each different character," she says. "However, I didn't know that when I narrated my first audiobook. I just assumed the approach I took — voicing a distinctive personality for each major character — would be best suited for this medium as well." Her goal, she explains, was to make a movie for the mind.

With the help of famed narrator Scott Brick, Raudman put together a demo reel in 2006, sent it to seven companies and heard back from four. She created a recording studio in her home and the rest is history.

I have enjoyed her narrations with Patrick Lawlor in Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooter series and Lisa Kleypas' Blue-Eyed Devil.

I re-listened half of KD #7 and started #8!

I also just just listened to her narrate Lisa Kleypas Blue-Eyed Devil in July.

I loved her narration of Blue-Eyed Devil. Raudman is one of those narrators who makes a good book even better. In fact, when I read the books originally Smooth Talking Stranger was my favorite, but in listening to them BED was far superior. I wish they'd used her for the whole series.

We have to wait a while longer for the new Kate Daniels audiobook. Renee has been on her honeymoon and so the audio will be delayed. There wasn't a mention of when it's coming out. I hope soon because I just did a relisten of that series, and I'm dying for the next book.
