I'll nominate Dawn for a Distant Earth by L.E. Modesitt Jr.. I don't think we've read anything by him yet & this is the first of an interesting trilogy. I think the second book is my favorite, but this one is very good. Just what sort of human does it take to live on an old, poisoned Earth & what happens if he is civilized?
I nominate Other Americas by Norman Spinradhttps://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Its a collection of four novellas, each about a future America.
I haven't read it yet.
Its average goodreads rating is 3.90 stars, and is available in print and $2.99 for the Kindle.
I'd like to nominate Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card (1985). I think the book is rightfully considered a classic of the genre.

It's a great book though, I still need to finish the series, I stopped after the third.
Hello my suggestion for this month is "Contact" by Carl Sagan.https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
