Kinsey | 4 comments Colton goes on to to talk abut the people he met in heaven. For example Todd's grandfather that passed away before Colton was even born. Colton said, " Everyone in heaven has wings, mine were little, but Pop's were big"( Burpo 86). Todd finds a recent picture of his Grandfather before he passed away and Colton replied to his dad "no that isn't him" and then his father found a younger picture of his Grandfather and Colton said, "yes, thats him, everyone in heaven is young. Todd became very curios about this experience of his child's trip to heaven."Colton says, " Daddy God told me that he wanted you to be a pastor and when you said yes, he was happy" (Burpo 91). I think this was the moment of realization for Todd that his son had actually been to heaven, because this was a something personal that Todd had never shared with anyone. As if this wasn't enough, Colton tells his father that war had already been won and that his dad helped fight in the war, because asked him to. This also meant that Todd was in heaven and he was going to be an angel in the future. I think this was the final straw for Todd so he began seeing a therapist because he couldn't believe the things his son was saying. Unfortunately the therapist was not a Christian so she had a scientific answer for every question Todd was asking. If I was in this situation I don't think I don't think I would have gone to therapist especially if they weren't a christian, because I wouldn't ever get the answers I wanted.
