Two key sources.[1] My observations of the operations of power between individuals and within human society inform the context of secret groups with shifting alliances waging secret wars with each other.
[2] My personal values, and the priority I place on not being controlled by other people informs the key relationship between my main character "Anton Slayne" and my main villain "Chloe Armitage"
(She has a subtle plan to manipulate him into doing something that he can do that she can not).
Marvel Movies from "The Avengers 1" to "Thor 2: The Dark World" to "Captain America 3: Civil War (trailer)". Everything there, I find inspirations.
Also "Crimson Peak" movie inspires me.
Also "Crimson Peak" movie inspires me.
I find inspiration anywhere really. If I'm reading a good book use that for inspiration.

I have no idea where I get my inspirations lol, I do have a really big imagination, I've had it since as I was a little kid, so I get them from my own imagination, and some parts from harry potter, that series really inspired me, and some from music. but tbh, I never really knew that I love writing until a few years ago, when I was 15. When I was younger I used to like hate writing, because I thought that I wasn't really good at it. but then when I was 15, I starting co-writing a crossover fanfic of two animes, with my cousin, that was before I had wattpad, we never really finished it tho. And then after I got wattpad, I started writing my own crossover fanfic of Harry potter and percy jackson, and then I suddenly realized I did have a talent for writing after all, and then I started getting ideas to write my own novel, which I am currently writing now, and I already got 3 chapters writen, I am currently on the 4th chapter, but the thing is, I only like writing for the fun of it and because I want to do it, not because I have to do it. You know what I mean right? And I also only love the creative and Imaginative part of writing, but not the essay part. because I'm only good with the creative and imaginative part of writing, but when it comes to the essay part, I'm not good at that stuff. you know what I mean right? I have a learning disability so I'm kind of in some of the modified classes at school. but I am really interested into anything that has to do with creativity and Imagination.
What inspire me to write is listening to music and an idea will pop up and I'll write it down, watching movies and television shows which gives me ideas for fan-fictions and possible books, reading other books. These give me character inspiration to book ideas and personality traits for characters.
Books mostly. Books are the magic cure to Writer's Block as well.Ok, yes, I have gotten the occasional idea from tv, but that's rare.
Once or twice from actual writing prompts.
Also, a lot of it just comes from my own brain and heart. For about as long as I can remember I've basically told myself a story before/as I'm falling asleep. Sometimes it was just part of something I had read or sometimes the ideas came from a dream, but I imagined the events and drifted off to sleep. Well, most of the time I did, but of course sometimes I had to sit up in the middle of the night and start writing this story or FF I had just imagined lol.
Twice I had these ideas [I don't know how else to describe it other than] rattling around in my skull, bouncing back and forth for a few days until I just couldn't take it anymore, and they exploded into writing...
I get ideas from nature or from people around me sometimes...
Some of my inspiration comes from friends as well, lol. I get ideas everywhere. Have you ever heard the quote that goes something like, "Most people walk past 100 stories a day. The good writers catch five or six of them. Most people don't see any at all." paraphrase [I can't remember the exact words]. Anyway, I try my best to be like that writer who notices a few.
My inspiration for writing comes from my love of story and desire to connect with others and share my experience. What I love about story is being immersed in another world, lost, and transported.
Real life--news articles, my own life, and other people's lives. I used to write character portraits while in a restaurant or waiting in a doctor's office. Sometimes I use certain characteristics of people in a fictional character: a weird laugh, a man who runs his hand through his hair so it ends up standing up, staring off somewhere during a conversation. The coolest name I've seen on is Hart Hix. I love that name.
My inspiration, reading books, watching anime, there.
My inspirations: my dreams/nightmares. Other authors. Stephen King has influenced me greatly. And people watching. I like to write characters that are true too life.
My inspirations come from art, music, movies, what I am reading, and sometimes from my dreams or how I am feeling emotionally.
