Anna | 1006 comments I read this for week 29. A book by an author who writes under more than one name. It's a great detective story with a dash of romance. I'll put the Goodreads blurb here, but don't be put off, because it doesn't do the book justice.
The Goodreads synopsis:
In a world of danger and deception, she walks the line--between seductive passion and scandalous murder... Eve Dallas is a New York police lieutenant hunting for a ruthless killer. In over ten years on the force, she's seen it all--and knows her survival depends on her instincts. And she's going against every warning telling her not to get involved with Roarke, an Irish billionaire--and a suspect in Eve's murder investigation. But passion and seduction have rules of their own, and it's up to Eve to take a chance in the arms of a man she knows nothing about--except the addictive hunger of needing his touch.

Kirsten (kmcripn) I love the In Death series! They're especially good in the audiobooks! Susan Ericksen is incredible.

SamZ (samwisezbrown) | 154 comments I read this for week 29 also. I agree with Anna, the description doesn't do the book justice, it was fun and fast-paced. I can understand why there's 40 and counting books in this series.

Elizabeth | -19 comments I love this series, it's the only one of hers I want to read, so I'm slowly getting them

Charlston Goch (list_addict) | 24 comments I read this for the 2019 challenge, Week 24 - ‘Something New’. It arrived by post a couple of days before I needed to select a book for this prompt: it was ‘new’ to me. I had been looking forward to starting the series for a long time. I read a lot of crime and it’s nice to read something with a little twist. I like that it is set so far in the future. I’m sure the relationship between Eve and Roarke will drive me mad, but only in a good way. Already onto book two, only a million and thirty eight to go!!!
