I searched these books and both are the 2nd book in a series. Do we have to read the first book to read/understand this one?
We can read Something Wicked This Way Comes as a stand alone, I think it makes small references to Dandelion Wine (the first book) but nothing really critical. Most of the books in the series are generally seen as stand alone novels.

Cool! Thanks for the fact check. Now, Dr. Sleep is a sequel to The Shining. I assumed everyone saw the movie.

Hey everyone! I'm super sorry for being basically absent in this group for months, life's been busy and will continue to be busy for me. Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to be a good moderator in this group anymore :(But, I know that a lot of you are still excited to continue the discussions in this book club, so I am very delighted to say that I will appoint Sara and Jodi as our new co-mods of The Book Basilisks! I leave everything to you guys, since I know you both are very passionate and will do an amazing job taking over me as the group's moderator.
Happy reading everyone!
Well there are two votes for Dr Sleep and one for Something Wicked This Way Comes , so I guess we are reading Dr Sleep this month!

Doctor Sleep by Stephen King
Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury
