Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments Thought this would be a fun topic as Halloween gets closer, plus would also provide a place for suggestions of creepy reads!

Here are some October reads I'm thinking about for my October creepy reads TBR:

1. Blackheath by Gabriella Lepore.
2. The Casquette Girls by Alys Arden.
3. Inherited by Freedom Matthews.
4. Alive by Scott Sigler.
5. ACOTAR (possible re-read).
6. Heir of Fire.

I'm currently reading The Delphi Effect (The Delphi Trilogy Book 1) by Rysa Walker which is about ghosts meet Firestarter. Loving it!

message 12: by Harlee (new)

Harlee | 1583 comments @Rose I read Slasher Girls and Monster Boys a few months ago and just finished This Savage Song a few weeks ago, both would be AWESOME October reads! :)

message 13: by Harlee (new)

Heidi | 2372 comments Yay!

message 15: by Heather (new)

Heather (hersecretsmile) | 290 comments I started This Savage Song a couple days ago but I have a feeling it's something I'm going to focus on more next month rather than the remaining few days of this month.

Also I started The Monstrumologist a while ago and put that down so that is my big Halloween read.

I agree completely with The Monstrumologist (I read that last year), I Hunt Killers, and This Savage Song! I was actually thinking of rereading The Monstrumologist on Halloween this year!

I did an October TBR video, although not all of it is "scary" reads
https://youtu.be/HYKxqVvRsNQ

I'm doing the #Frightfall Readathon that starts on Monday, my books for it are:

As Red as Blood (Lumikki Andersson, #1) by Salla Simukka Dearly, Departed (Gone With the Respiration, #1) by Lia Habel Ghost in Trouble (Bailey Ruth, #3) by Carolyn Hart (my mom gave me this one to read) and the whole Miss Peregrine's series, which is more strange and unusual than scary, but it is creepy!

I also have Witch's Pyre (Worldwalker, #3) by Josephine Angelini The Witch Hunter (The Witch Hunter, #1) by Virginia Boecker Daughter of Deep Silence by Carrie Ryan and The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins for later in the month.

message 18: by Victoria (new)

message 25: by Lanie (new)

Lanie (Sherwood1192yahoocom) | 81 comments I love Halloween! My favorite holiday right after Christmas.

Most my reading plans for this month are scary or have monsters.
Like, I just finished "rot & ruin" the other day. :) so good.

& if anyone needs some super creepy suggestions, I recommend

"Bad girl's don't die" by Katie Alender.
"The devouring" by Simon holt
"The dogs" by Allan Stratton
"The ice twins" by s.k. Tremayne.
"The girl from the well" by Rin Chupeco.

& if you like mangas "Tokyo Ghoul" and "attack on Titan" are appropriately creepy and awesome! :D those Titans are terrifyingly!
