Teens Interceding for Orphans (TIO) discussion

Welcome! We've finally selected our first group read. You have two weeks to beg, borrow, or buy a copy of Orphan Justice: How to Care for Orphans Beyond Adopting. We'll start reading on June 2nd. You can RSVP to join the "event" and find out more about the book (including where to buy it inexpensively). I'm really excited to see how this pilot run goes. Please invite your friends to join us buy sharing the event invitation!

I ordered the book off of Amazon and I'm hoping it'll arrive before we leave for Texas!! =)

Took the plunge and purchased a hard copy, TW? Good for you! I got my brother a hard copy because I liked it so much when I read it on Kindle.

Yep! It's way cheaper than the Kindle edition (even with shipping! Yeesh..) I can't wait, I sure hope it gets here (to Tennessee) before we leave for Texas on June 3! ;) It said it was shipped on the 23, but...

It'll probably get there. Media mail usually takes about a week.

And, yes, he has! For Christmas I gave him that and a gift-in-honor-of to IJM (International Justice Mission). I think he read Orphan Justice in January. I'm blessed to have a brother with similar passions. I care about orphans first with human trafficking as a close second and he cares about human trafficking first with orphans as a close second. I got him into orphan care, he got me into human trafficking. We have some pretty intense conversations.

My book arrived probably Tuesday, it went to my aunt's house and she brought it yesterday. =) It looks fantastic. I'm not sure if I can wait until June 2... It looks wonderful!!

Hello everyone. This seems to have died out a little. And I have a confession to make. I misplaced my copy of the book we're reading. A new copy is on it's way, so I'll be working on getting everything up to speed as soon as it arrived! Sorry about that.

Yay! I got my new copy of The Global Orphan Crisis. Time to get this show back on the road! Who's with me?
