In this section our lovely couple gets married but also descends into alcoholism and violent outbursts. Anthony seems to have some awareness of his wasted life, yet does little to fix it, and his brief foray at working fails. Gloria maintains her insipid self absorption and histrionics. Caramel on the other hand, has had booming success as a writer. Do you think under any circumstances Anthony could have achieved similar success? After his shock at his grandfather's will he attempts again to write, but ends up being drafted. Any thoughts on what may happen to Anthony and Gloria at this point? Our poor Anthony aspires sadly to be killed in battle!
