Well I think anytime you read about boys on bikes it's reminiscent of the Goonies & E.T. Just like the show Stranger Things on Netflix. And it's always fun to see their strong friendship and loyalty to each other. That's what this reminds me of.

Of course with any character driven book the characters are a bit eccentric......Vernon, The Lady, Miss Blue Glass & Miss Green Glass,etc. But that's the whole point of the story. There wasn't one that I didn't like.

This book was a great character study. As mentioned in another discussion thread, I felt like each character was SOOOOOO who they were. The sad thing is that some of the most interesting characters played only a minor role and you are left wondering what happened with them (view spoiler)[ (even with the small explanations at the end) (hide spoiler)]
