Shadowhunters RP discussion

Cecily sat in a corner of the chapel with her knees drawn up to her chin. She suddenley felt very lonely. Gabriel was in his room and Will had dismissed her without much thought. She was still wearing her slightly damp clothes and shivered even though it wasn't cold.

Gabriel had searched in several rooms to find Cecily before stumbling upon the chapel. Knocking on the side of the doorway to alert her of his presence, he entered the chapel gently, not wanting to disturb the quiet atmosphere. "Are you alright, Cecily?" He asked, making his way towards her.

Cecily quickly stood up as he came. "Gabriel!" she exclaimed. "What are you doing here?" she quickly took in his haggard appearance and saw that his walk was not as confident as it had been before. He looked as if he was going to fall any second. She grabbed hold of his arm as he came next to her. "You don't look so steady." she said.

"I'm quite alright, Cecily, but thank you for your concern," He said, even though he felt as though his lungs were being shredded and his throat's insides were glued together. "However, you look slightly defeated, and I wanted to see if you were fine." He knelt where she had been sitting before, mainly to stop standing, for he felt as though he were going to fall.

"Gabriel." Cecily said firmly. "You are absolutely NOT all right and no matter how defeated I might look, I'm not letting you stay down here. You need a lot of rest. Get up. I'm going to get you to your room." she looked at him with a severe expression, daring him to challenge her.

Gabriel pursed his lips, "But I was just in my room." He blushed and added, "Gideon's room, actually, but the room I was assigned does not feel like I room I have nor I would want to live in." Pushing himself up, he stood next to Cecily for a solid second before his knees gave out and he fell to the floor. He wanted to curse, but there was a lady, more specifically: Cecily, standing before him, so he refrained from doing so.

"That does it." Cecily said, bending down to help him up. "If you don't come with me right now, I'm going to have to drag you back there." she could feel the fever that he had and felt nervous. He was much taller than her and she was not sure she would be able to help him back all the way to his room. "Can you walk?" she asked him helplessly.

((D: Okay.))

"Yes, I can walk," Gabriel said, angry at himself for being so weak in front of Cecily, for being so dependent. He was dependent on too many people, he had been dependent on his father, and it left him lost in the end. He pushed himself up once more, and took several steps forwards before collapsing again in another coughing fit. "The answer is no, Cecily. I cannot walk," He said in between coughs, feeling very defeated himself now.

Cecily was alarmed now. "I'll go get someone." she said. "Gabriel, stay here." she paused "I'm sorry. I know you can't possibly go anywhere else but I meant don't try to. Oh by the Angel!" she bent down and hugged him. "I'll be right back" she said and ran out of the door, almost tripping over her skirts in her hurry. She didn't know where to look so she ran to Charlotte's room. She hoped Charlotte would be there.

((Aww D: okay. Poor Gabriel.))

Gabriel was glad Cecily had hugged him-- it almost made the situation worthwhile, however almost is not enough. His head was aching now and his lungs felt as though they might combust. Laying on the chapel floor, coughing miserably, Gabriel felt useless and foolish.
((Kay now I really HAVE to go. Just thought I'd get in one last post.))

At this point, Gabriel's body was convulsing slightly and he felt as though he were chocking on his lungs. His heart was hammering in his chest, and his splitting headache was pounding and ringing, causing blurry vision.

Cecily burst into the chapel first. She was shocked to see Gabriel. He seemed worse than he'd been five minutes ago. She ran over to him, bending down next to him, not sure of what to do."

Tessa walked into the chapel after her, vaguely wondering what the two had been doing in there, but all assumptions were wiped clear out of her mind when she saw Gabriel writhing in pain and coughing miserably on the floor.
"Oh my," She muttered, clutching her hand over her chest. Gabriel looked gaunt, and his features were paler than they had been before, plus he was having what appeared to be a coughing fit on the ground.
Gabriel looked up to see Cecily standing before him once again, but he couldn't say anything to her, he could only lay there coughing, though no longer convulsing.

Charlotte came after Tessa and then Will after her. He had a slight smirk on his face but that immediately disappeared when he saw Gabriel. Infuriating him was another matter but seeing him helpless like this on the floor was nothing to laugh at. Even before Charlotte could move forward, Will was at Cecily's side, helping Gabriel to his feet. He was strong enough to lift him on his own. When he saw Cecily staring at him dumbfounded, he just shrugged. "Move aside please Charlotte." he said to her. She was still at the door. She quickly moved aside with a surprised expression on her face.

Gabriel was thankful for the help, but felt extremely embarrassed at having to get it from Will. However, he was in no place to refuse the help. All of a sudden, he had a mother coughing spurt, which resulted in him falling out of the two's grasp and falling to the ground again. Yet this time, when he coughed, he coughed up blood. Gabriel's eyes widened in horror at the blood.

"Keep calm." Charlotte said, knowing it was required in this situation. She took out her stele and bending down, took Gabriel's hand and drew a rapid succession of three runes on it. Cecily felt as if she was in a nightmare. This could not be happening. She looked at the blood with a sick feeling in her stomach.

"Keep calm?" Gabriel sputtered, feeling sick to his stomach from the blood, and sick in his lungs and throat from whatever was plaguing him. "Keep calm? Charlotte, I'm coughing up blood!" He looked back down at the pool of blood and cringed, praying that the runes Charlotte had applied would work. Feeling short of breath, he just laid in the spot where he had fallen, wheezing slightly.

"Well you seem to be able to talk." Will murmured and hauled him up again. "Wait! Will!" Charlotte said. "I want to be done with this as soon as possible." Will said, helping Gabriel out with a little of Cecily's help. The runes should help with the coughing Charlotte said, following them, seeing as she could not stop Will. "Just don't talk. At all."

Gabriel opened his mouth to speak, and then closed it, nodding silently. He wanted to tell them to ring him to Gideon's room, and not his own, but since he might start coughing up blood again if he spoke, he kept his mouth shut and leaned on Cecily and Will for support, still feeling weak. They led him out the doors of the chapel, and into the hallways.

"Take him to his brother's room Will." Cecily said, remembering what he'd told her. She was trying her best to stay calm now but seeing Gabriel like this was almost too much for her. Her grip tightened against his arm. Will nodded at her and kept on walking. Charlotte walked beside them, mostly hovering and looking very worried.

Tessa walked next to Charlotte, wanting to help but not knowing how. She did not know Gabriel very well, and felt it would be very odd to offer him assistance, even if she did know what assistance to offer. However, seeing Will step up like that.... She didn't know what to think.
Gabriel wanted to thank Cecily, but since talking was not an option, he instead gave her a grateful look. They were turning down the hallway to Gideon's room when he heard a door open and steps coming down several hallways.
Henry appeared at the other end of the hallway, looking disheveled as always, but wore a wide grin on his face. "Charlotte-" He began, though he abruptly stopped upon seeing Gabriel. Losing the grin, he said, "What's the matter with him?"

"We don't know." Charlotte said but she gave Henry a significant look. Charlotte had guessed, almost as soon as she had seen Gabriel what it must be but she didn't want to make the atmosphere even more tense.
Cecily tried to return Gabriel's look with a smile but couldn't manage it so she just nodded. They'd reached the door of the room. "This is it." she said to Will, trying not to let her voice tremble. Charlotte quickly opened the door of the room for them and Will and Cecily brought Gabriel inside. Gideon was sitting up on the bed and when he saw all of them enter the room, he looked vaguely surprised but when he saw his brother, his mouth opened slightly in shock.

Gabriel shot Gideon an apologetic look upon seeing his surprise, and limped over to hiss bed with the help of Cecily and Will.
Henry followed in after them, feeling slightly awkward and out of place with very little knowledge of the situation. He stood in the back, trying his best to avoid the core of the problem, feeling like he'd only make it worse.
Tessa walked in, following behind Will and Cecily and helping to get Gabriel on the bed. Gabriel willingly layed on the bed with the help of Cecily, Will, and Tessa, feeling beyond exhausted. He was still wheezing, but had not encountered a coughing fit since the chapel.

Will helped Gabriel onto the bed and then walked away and stood at the door. Gideon looked at his brother, still not completely comprehending what was going on. "What happened to him?" he asked no- one in particular. "He had acoughing fit." Will replied from the door "Coughed up some blood." Gideon turned paler than he was.
