I've read a few of David Hayne's books and he even recently sent me a few more that I will come to read and love just as much. This book was great from beginning to end. It tells of two brothers who are in the funeral home business inheriting it from their father and his father before him. One doesn't mind the business but the other wants to get out. It also tells of their grandfather and how the place got started but then the story takes a spin into the sinister and unknown.

I absolutely loved this book. It was very much like his other books but the setting was in both modern and the past. It's not gory by any means which I enjoyed because the author has a great way of portraying horror in small little glimpses of where it needs to be so it truly hits home and gives of a creep and chilling feeling. Three things I enjoyed most about this book as I'm sure you will too are the combining of music with the characters, the feeling of old classic horror in the modern era and a style that is told and delivered in such simplicity.

I recommend this book for all horror fans and I also recommend the author David Haynes.
