During our group read James tracked down a filmed version from The Globe.

I asume I can make comparisons with the earlier BBC version. Both succeed in rather different ways.

No chance of my getting a copy, for various reasons, but I will read the discussion with interest.

Sorry I can't lend it out Lucinda, the DVD has to go back to the library in a week.

This version is inventive, energetic, hilarious, with a joyous ending. It contrasts well with the very different, but still fine, BBC version of 1983. More later . . .
