It is in the dark of night
witches on brooms take flight
Faces carved in pumpkins glow
and children in costumes run to and fro.
Tap, tap on each door they knock
as they hold their baskets out for stock
Then on to the next they fleet
with the call of trick or treat
Then when the hour grows very late
Children asleep and candy ate
Ghosts, zombies and witches were seen
All in all twas a Happy Halloween. ☺
