Some friends have recommended to me that I should read David Baldacci. Seeing that he has several different series, I was wondering which series I should start with?

I would suggest:1/ King & Maxwell
2/ Will Robie series
3/ John Puller series (It's only okay in my opinion)
I don't know anything about his Camel Club series or Shaw & James series.
I also like King and Maxwell, as well as the earlier Camel Club novels. Baldacci has a tendency to overwrite and some of his dialog is stilted but he does have appealing characters and storylines.
I like every Baldacci book I've read and I think I've read them all. Will Robie and King and Maxwell are my favorites
I would start with the Camel Club - all the characters are great especially Oliver and there is some humor in this series2. King and Maxwell -
3. Will Robie -
Read all the Camel Club and King and Maxwell and liked them, some more than others. So far I have liked the first Shaw and the first Puller better than the second. I also liked the first Robie, but have only read the first. If I had to pick, it would be hard to choose between CC and K&M, but I guess it would be K&M. I am sorry TNT canceled the TV show. I thought it was pretty representative of the characters except for Maxwell's hair color.
Without a doubt, Camel Club. Love the characters (especially Oliver). I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he has another one of their adventures in the works and that it will be released in the not too distant future.
I would recommend the Camel Club series. I really liked the characters and the story lines. I just got into the King and Maxwell books, and I have enjoyed them as well. Only wish I had read them in order. Oh, well, back to the beginning. they are a good read regardless!
I seem to like whatever characters are in the book I am reading. Just finished a King and Maxwell book so today it is my favorite.
I love Will Robie but was so disappointed in Target. Skipped a lot of pages just to get through it. Did anyone else do that?

I like both the Camel Club Series and King and Maxwell, bu the last King and Maxwell wasn't up to par. But Baldacci has been so good that I'll buy the next one and see how it goes.
I love them all and have them all in my collection. They are all worth a read. Pacey and attention holders. Don't pick them up if you want an early night!
I started with the Camel Club series and they got me hooked on Baldacci. They are my favorite. I need to go back and read them in order. Robie is my 2nd fav. Just started Puller series.
My personal choice is the Camel Club series of Novels. Well written and the characters are unique and funny but serious!
Wow my curiosity is peaked! I will pick up The Camel Club. Baldacci is great! I'm reading Nelson Demille's Plum Island right now. His John Corey is hilarious!!
I loved John Corey character too. He is in a few other of DeMille's books. I also think Camel Club series is great. I think Baldacci's stand alone book "Last Man Standing" is also very good.
I loved "Last Man Standing"! We are so lucky to have such great writers to keep us satisfied while we await their contemporary works.
I have not read a book from the Camel Club series, but Will Robie wins for me. Robie's ever-changing circumstances keep me coming back for more, but while I await the next in that series I am enjoying King & Maxwell.
The Camel Club series is the best! Enjoyed the thrills of Oliver and his friends, liked the fact that he lived in a cottage on the grounds if a cemetery in Washington, DC. Would like to see a new book added to this series, as for the other series, I have not enjoyed them as I did the Camel Club.
I agree with Rose. I'd love to see the Camel Club series extended.
David Baldacci's books are real page turner and has the tendency of keeping the readers engaged. I'm currently reading David Baldacci's third book. I personally liked Will Robie's series.
I read most of his books. Series I like: 1. King and Maxwell 2. Will Robbie 3. John Puller (actually I like The Escape more than The Target)

Camel Club wasn't bad. I like Will Robie best, followed by John Puller. Only read one King and Maxwell.
Has anyone read Hour Game? My mom read it for her book club and gave it to me to read..I have read the Innocent and thought it was just okay...was not a huge fan of it myself, it wasn't terrible tho
where would you say it ranks in the series? (in your opinion) like, one of the better ones or just okay...
I liked Hour Game better than the first book. The Battle family is interesting and complex and Baldacci does a good job describing them. The most recent King and Maxwell is the best.I like most his books, but prefer the Will Robie and Camel CLub series over King and Maxwell
I think the innocent is not the best book from the Will Robbie series. I enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd book more. When compare to Hour Game, I like Hour Game more than Innocent. However in the King and Maxwell series I enjoy all of them but I like the last 2 and the frist book most.
What I have learned is that everyone has different tastes and when it comes to books (just like everything else) everyone likes different things and has their own opinions, so, in all reality it's difficult to ask someone that question (in retrospect)because we all like different things. What I like is probably different than what you or someone else likes..so, i guess it is an unfair and biased question haha
My favorite is hands down The Camel Club. Oliver Stone brought tears to my eyes on many occasions. King & Maxwell and John Puller are also great.
The Camel Club books have been my favorite but the John Puller books are giving them a run for their money. King and Maxwell are also favorites. I like Will Robbie too. I guess I just love them all. I would probably recommend starting with the Camel Club then King and Maxwell. Do not miss the John Puller books.
