Black Mirror
I've enjoyed the series. It kind of reminds me of Twilight Zone or Outer Limits - both of which I loved.
I luckily stumbled upon this series last year on Netflix and loved it. Been eagerly awaiting this next season but haven't yet watched. Glad to hear this new season is good. I hope to catch a few episodes in the next day or so.
The show is great, I'm on the last episode of season 3. Although some episodes aren't that great compared to the others, or sci-fi at all, it's awesome.Especially the season 2 finale. So good.
The Christmas special really was amazing. There's not one of these that I don't like, Brooker really is the kind of guy who sees the world the same way as I do.We've just started the most recent season and have watched the first episode. Very good indeed. It was spoiled a little as I've seen another show with the same idea but it's really sad to think that this could be a possibility to our world. I really loved the brother, he's my type of person. Makes me glad that I don't have a Facebook account!
I started watching Black Mirror not that long ago and I really like it. I am almost caught up to it, I have two episodes left in season three.

Episode two of season 3 was really the only episode I didn't like. Though I haven't seen the season finale of season 3 yet.
I looove that show!! I can't wait for a new season! I read in an article somewhere that they were planning a fourth season, so I hope it works! The episode that creeped me out was 'play test' with the horror video game, it really messed with my mind!
Hulu recently produced a similar series, Dimension 404. I didn't think the stories were as good. Reminded me more of Tales from the Darkside.
I much preferred Season 3 to the others. The entire concept is great though and frightening how close to all of these possibilities we are already.I didn't realise Charlie Brooker had it in him so massive kudos there

I love this series. I also read there would be a season 4 but did you see something coming in book form? See author profile: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

I would happily spend (view spoiler) in San Junipero.
That first episode though . . . I think the one that bothered me the most was the guy in the VR world/game show where the audience votes on nearly every move the "participant" makes. Having so little free will was just terrifying to me.

How quickly I forgot about (view spoiler). I like the other theory too.
I just started watching this. I watched the first two seasons and I've enjoyed them. I've liked some more then others but I think it's a great show. I feel it's more dark then twilight zone although I get why some people compare it to that.
I watched all 4 seasons. For me the quality dropped season by season. Not that the 4th was not good, but the 1st was better. I liked more the episodes that have more than just science fiction issues, i liked more the ones that deal with ethic and moral issues. The first one, for example, that one about webterrorists threating people with their internet (illegal or immoral) activities. I liked San Junipero too. It was so cute.
I thought White Bear is season two had the biggest twist. I've only seen the first two seasons but I'd say that and the Christmas episode definitely have the biggest twists.

I was kind of frustrated with the "butler/clone" thing as I felt it was a strong enough story to get a full hour long episode.
Season 3 and 4 have good episodes but there is definitely a decline in quality overall.
The episode where people's likes show up above their heads for everyone to see is so much like Facebook.
When I first started watching the show a while ago I got sucked in, and watched a couple episodes each day. It tends to be so melodramatic though that by the second episode of season 3 I just had to step away from it. Haven't been able to bring myself to start it back up again.
In London they're turning streets into old British business for the next season for an upcoming episode which will take place in the 80s.

Started watching this yesterday and I have to say, it reminds me of two of my favourite science fiction writers (J G Ballard and Philip K Dick). White Bear has been my favourite so far.
Corinne wrote: "My mother sent me this in an email today "The news said China is vastly expanding its AI & scoring human behavior! Ratings given for jaywalking, etc. shaming people with bad scores & they are denie..."Black Museus was really good. The Waldo one was not really good.
I saw the social media one Nosedive with Bryce Dallas Howard and eh it was alright but it got cringy toward the end for me. The way she spirals out of control and how people treat you based off your rank. The ending was kind of dull too.
Saw Playtest, it was definitely deep. About a guy who tests a new video game that brings out your fears. I thought it was good and the ending was a twist and surprising. Then I saw the next episode Shut Up and Dance..worst episode I've seen yet. The whole concept is in bad taste, awkward and a bit too raunchy for my liking. The ending makes it even more awkward and bad and yeah I just didn't care for it at all.
Yeah, It got a bit messy compared to how it started. The next one is good but the one after playtest is too much.

Sounds like it, interesting with the "choose your own adventure" angle.
I'm watching now and it's totally freaking me out, but in a good way. I know I'm going to have to go back and try different options to see how different the story comes out.
Does anybody know of any classic "choose your own adventure"-like books like the one in the episode? All the ones I ever saw were short little numbers. Bandersnatch looks like it's 800 pages long.

I've been watching it since the first season aired and I think it's just been getting better and better. The most recent season was just released by Netflix (it had been a channel 4 production before that) and every episode was incredible.
Has anyone else here watched it? What do you think of the show?
If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend it. Some episodes might be a bit odd or not your sort of thing (the very first episode involves something that many may find off putting) but don't let it put you off because every episode is so different that you're bound to find some of them that you like.
