I am obssessed with Nightwing, Batman, and Aquaman new 52. I am reading them as Graphic Novels in volumes, and am on Volumes 4 or 5 off all of these titles. I am also working my way through the entire run of West Coast Avengers! I love the soapy subplots. I am on issue 10.

I love New 52 Batman! I've heard great things about New 52 Aquaman too, but I haven't had a chance to read it yet.
I read Whedon's Astonishing X-Men run over the weekend. It is fantastic - definitely one of my favorite x-men stories.

I read the first volume of the New 52 Aquaman. It was pretty good, but I haven't gotten around to picking up the others yet.
I don't know much about Raven, but I am picking up her new series & I'm really enjoying it! I also just read Matt Phelan's Snow White: A Graphic Novel. Lovely re-telling but a quick read. The art is gorgeous! All done in watercolor. My weakness!
This weeks haul.Harley Quinn 7
Bombshells 19
Avengers EMH 1
Aquaman 10
Occupy Avengers 1
Green Arrow 10
Moon Knight 8
Nightwing 8
Spider-Man 2099 17
Champions 2
Unworthy Thor 1
Aquaman has been great, and this is a Mera focus issue, and I really like her character a lot.
I read I think all busy the most recent new 52 Aquaman; it was pretty great up until maybe the last volume or so (again, that I read). I just finished Original Sin and am starting Deadpool Complete Collection volume 3.
This week's pull:
Faith #5
Avengers #1
Animosity #3
Death of X #3 (of 4)
Batman #10
Bitch Planet #9 (Just this issue for the awesome cover. I read BP in trades.)
Also eyeballing Unworthy Thor #1 and Occupy Avengers #1 on Comixology, because budgets were made to be broken, right?!
I've only had a chance to read Faith so far, and unfortunately her meeting Clinton was less cool than I anticipated. It was a separate mini story that wasn't written by Jody Houser. The main story was still good though, and I love the cover.
As always, you can check out the official IRCB weekly pull list to see what the podcast team is reading. This week, Mike & I have some feelings about Death of X.

Read Jughead #10 last night. I'm way behind on comics, but this one was a great way to end my night. Having just read The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, seeing Sabrina in Jughead is seeing her in an (expectedly) different light was refreshing. And the issue was pretty solid, too.
Got my review of Thor 12 up. https://comicbookclog.com/2016/11/04/...
New and interesting origin for Mjonlir in this one.

See, I'm not super interested in dude Thor as a character, but the preview art looked fantastic. I AM really into Hawkeye, but the OA preview art didn't look great. What I really need is a mashup where I get my Hawkeye story with the dude Thor art!

One of the free Halloween comics I picked up was the 1st issue of Afterlife with Archie, Vol. 2: Betty R.I.P.. Is it ok to read if I haven't read vol. 1 yet, or should I wait?
You'd hope that they wouldn't pass out free copies of something that isn't a good jumping on point, but you never know...

Hahaha! Glad I asked!

I just read the first Afterlife volume last week! I thought it was pretty good but it set up a lot so I would wait to read the following issues. Sabrina even made a little cameo.

Both are great, but I'd go for Autumnlands first. It's fantastic.

Recently I read Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Vol. 1: The Coulson Protocols, Rick and Morty, Vol. 1, and Garbage Pail Kids.I'm working on rereading Trees for the book of the month. Up next I've got Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, Volume One and The Mask Strikes Back.
I'll second the recommendation for Autumnlands.
Among the books I got this week:Invincible Iron Man 1
Power Man and Iron Fist 10
Batgirl & Birds of Prey 4
Lone Ranger & Green Hornet 5 (conclusion of limited series)
Finished all of the English translated Assassination Classroom and decided I should read Death Note, Vol. 1: Boredom (and the rest of the series) before I jump head first into Naruto.
On the comics front, still making my way through my backlog of weekly books. I think I'll read Nailbiter #26 next...

Made my way through 3/4 or Giant Days volume 3 last night. This book is incredibly refreshing in a sea of action/adventure/sci-fi/super hero comic books. It's a happy, innocent(ish), and positive book. Love this series!

Which book was your favorite? We actually talked about Rick and Morty, Vol. 1 a few weeks ago on the IRCB Podcast! It was Episode 89 if you want to check it out and haven't already.

How is Batgirl & Birds of Prey going? Does it tie-in very much Batgirl, Batman, or Detective Comics?
I just finished reading Batman #9-10 and picked up #11 today. I'm really enjoying artist Mikel Janen and colorist June Chung’s work. I find it a lot more appealing than the art on the first arc by David Finch.

I don't read Batgirl since the mini-reboot of her after Gail Simone's run, so I have no idea. I haven't seen any tie ins to Detective so far. Personally, I'm still wondering how Black Canary is managing to be active in East Coast Gotham in BOP and West Coast Seattle in Green Arrow with no more JLA teleporter....
This week was a big haul:Suicide Squad 6
Aquaman 11
Sam Wilson, Captain America 15
Darkwing Duck 6- Darkwing goes to a comic con!
Doctor Fate 18
Jessica Jones 2
Nightwing 9
Squadron Supreme 13
Infamous Iron Man 2
Green Arrow 11

Agents of SHIELD was pretty good. The Mask Strikes Back was loads of fun. I've moved onto some Shadowman stuff from Valiant and I finally started Understanding Comics. So far it's fantastic.

I'm still waiting on the library hold list for Understanding Comics, but I should be next in line. I just sat down with my back log and read:
Batman #11
Black Hammer #5
Animosity #3
The Skeptics #1
Black Widow #7
Death of X #3
Green Valley #2
I enjoyed everything except The Skeptics. I was excited to read it because of its great premise, but the execution was clunky and hokey.

Sat down and read:
Jeff Steinberg #1 (on Nick White's request) which was a weird little comedy book--I wasn't a big fan.
Ether #1 which was far more whimsical than I expected it to be. Matt Kindt very much surprised me with this book. I'm hooked.
Slam #1 which had gorgeous art (Veronica Fish) and was a nice feel-good book. I'll definitely be continuing this book.
Black Hammer #5 in which Jeff Lemire breaks your heart a hundred times over and over.

Taking a break from my Modern Marvel Project to read Locke & Key. Have previously read Volume 1 but will re-read and marathon all 6."
Is the Modern Marvel Project a set thing, or something you created yourself? If it's a public thing, do you have a link?

this week's haul:Detective Comics 945

Harley Quinn 8
Mighty Thor 13
Star Wars 25
Titans 5
Vigilante: Southland 2
Blue Beetle 3 (Jaime and Ted)

What a good idea! I've been thinking of doing something similar myself, but with one of those pre-made "100 Essential Graphic Novels" type lists.

So I was going over my reads for the week while doing my reviews. I'm a bit surprised to say my best read of the week is Harley Quinn 8. In addition to the book's usual silly humor and sexy cheesecake, they manage to deal well with two bi characters, what seems like an open relationship, and a really chilling psychological thriller scene. I'm really impressed with Palmiotti and Conner.
Over the weekend I read Dynamite's "King's Watch" by Jeff Parker and Marc Laming. It felt very much like an average action movie, but I liked it enough to buy the sequel mini-series, King's Quest.
I also re-read The Paybacks + Paybacks (from Dark Horse and Heavy Metal, respectively) to get the full Paybacks story. It was pretty good. I think Donny Cates knows how to do a mini-series well and I think this book functioned well as one giant homage (no spoilers) to comic book history. Geoff Shaw's art is brilliant and he shines pretty well in this series.
