The above badge was earned by reading The Frog Prince. That lion looks like he ate a frog :) It earned 14 points.
A-Team won the Toppler contest with a total of 505 points. I read 13 books that week. I would say my first Toppler was a success.
I read Eye of the Crow: The Boy Sherlock Holmes, His 1st Case to earn the above badge for 16 points.
Just thinking... if you send a message to Kat, she can edit the May group read message to include the book you read and discussed.I can also do that for your Slick's Slugs if you want.
Janice wrote: "Good idea, Lanelle! That way you'll have a record of what earned you the badge."Thanks, Janice. And I don't think I need to bother Kat. It's not that big of a deal.
To earn the Underrated badge, I read Eliza's Shadow, with a scoring of 24 points. And I read Johnny Doesn't Drink Champagne to earn the "Name That Tune" Toppler challenge. Rick was nice enough to record himself singing the new lyrics.
I read Midnight at the Taj Mahal to earn the above badge. At first I thought the book was rather childish, but I actually learned a lot. The ending was kind of sad. 33 whopping points!
I read Shakespeare's Landlord to earn the above badge. And I wonder who took the picture of the stack of books by my side of the bed.
To earn this badge, Sarah picked The Rithmatist for me to read. I didn't enjoy it as much as my daughter, Glenna, did.
This was my second week-long Toppler, and my team won. Glenna and I came up with the team name, the Top Hatt3rs. The Mad part of the name was added during the week. We read a total of 70 books. Our final score was 785. I tied my number of books read with the first week-long Toppler, 13 books.
To earn the Madame Tutti Fruitti badge, I had to read five books in the order Madame TF's fruit machine put them in.The books were:
Lord Stannington's Secret - 10/3/14 ***
Rogue's Honor - 10/3/14 ***
Lady Eugenia's Holiday - 10/6/14 **
Dominic - 10/6/14 ***
A Certain Want of Reason - 10/25 /14 ****
My Roadrunner books:The Enchanted Forest Chronicles
The All Souls Trilogy
Mythe
and the first two James Asher books
I got to read an old favorite book to earn the above badge, The Thing from the Lake. It's a great book. Awesome ending. A light horror story with some romance and classy language. Can't beat that!
At the end of the last line of chuckster books, I read the first two James Asher books which are set in England. I continued that theme by reading a some Heyer regency romances, other regency books and one Christie mystery.
I read Pistols for Two: And Other Stories to earn the above badge. Only a couple of the short stories would I be tempted to read again.
