Emily | 3 comments Do you set up the group challenges on the challenges section on this page (Read Scotland 2017> Challenges), as explained here https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... ?

I'm sorry Emily that's confusing about other challenges. That means if you are doing other book challenges other places too. It's common on blogs and I originally set this challenge up on my blog. Some blog challenges don't let you count books that count for other challenges. I'm going to edit that!

Lorna (rogue_librarian) Slightly technical question: how do books appear on the Read Scotland 2017 Bookshelf and/or the Currently Reading list for this challenge? Do I have to add them by hand to these lists, or should they add automatically when I link them on my own challenge reading list?

You have to add them, Lorna. Click on Bookshelf in the group and add it there.

Susan Wright | 17 comments I seem to have been managing to add a lot of short stories and novellas to my kindle and up till now I've been counting them towards my challenge but after reading several in one day I feel like I'm cheating as it's really running up the number of reads without much work. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Never thought about length, Susan. What say everyone else? Should there be a rule about minimum length?

Decided to add them onto my list for the time being although this does mean that my estimate of 6-10 books was well out as it means I'm currently reading number 11. However 5 of the 10 were short works so really I've either completed my challenge or I'm halfway through it.

Lorna (rogue_librarian) How do I add a book to the "currently reading" list for this group?

Click on bookshelf up to the right and on that page on the left top you will see add book.

Janet Clarkson | 1 comments Hello, I am Welsh but my dad is Scottish and so are my grandparents, I try to stay close to my roots. I find it hard to find many books that are fiction, that are for my age group (16) and exciting.

message 12: by John (new)

John R Hi Janet,

This challenge has been superseded by "Read Scotland 2018" - you should join that group.

John.

Hi Janet, I've opened a thread on Young Adult/Teen books on the 2018 Read Scotland group as I love YA too.

Here's the group if you want to join: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...

And here's the thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Happy reading :)
