I voted today. The sheet they handed me asked for my name and address and party and the year I was born. I didn't fill in the year I was born since I figure it's none of their business. I guess they didn't need the info since they didn't ask me again for it. My motto is always give them as little information as you can, no matter who it is.

CD | 1577 comments Here we go again! It is lunch time and I'm on my way to exercise my right to vote.

Vote Early, Vote Often!

Félix (habitseven) Voting is fun and easy. I did it today as well. We have a voter ID law here that rubs me the wrong way, but it's not a problem for me personally. No early voting here, either. I'd like to see that change. I'll be glad for the cessation of the horrendous TV ads for the time being.

I early voted on Saturday and it was moderately crowded. I've been early voting since 2016 because the early voting place uses computers and my regular polling place still has paper ballots where you have to "connect the arrow" with a Sharpie pen. That's fine if you're maybe voting for 4-5 people, but there had to be about 100 judges on the ballot (and I was voting yes or no on every single one).

I guess we have no voter ID law here because they didn't ask me for an ID.

All I can say is THANK GOD the J. B. Pritzker ads will finally stop. (They will, won't they?) Literally a fucking J. B. Pritzker ad EVERY SINGLE commercial break on these online shows and on the Youtube.

It was almost enough to make me vote for Rauner.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3598 comments Right. Give them as little info as possible. I'm always irritated by the question of marital status. Whose business is that, and why would it possibly matter? I always leave it blank.
