Jennifer Young | 2 comments This chapter reminds me to talk to my children when I notice "sin" being minimized in media. Asking questions like, "What does the Bible say about that?"

Lori | 1 comments Just got the book yesterday and started this morning, so I'm a little behind. I was encouraged by the research that said the factor that proved most effective in helping young people retain their faith was whether they had a safe place to question their faith before they left home. This is what I am trying to encourage with my oldest. I know it is not foolproof, but it is something we can do. Also, the statistics showing that religion is becoming more of an interest at universities are encouraging as well. Some days it feels as if the battle is over and all hope is lost. It is nice to hear that it may still be possible for Christians to effect change in our secular society.

Brandy Ferrell | 3 comments I agree, Lori! My oldest son is going through a questioning stage with his faith (and understanding the religions of the world in general), and I have been greatly encouraged by this chapter! Not only that, but I find such comfort in knowing that the author is a former agnostic.

It is so encouraging to read these statistics and see that the battle is not over yet!

Sheila Nawrot | 1 comments I completely agree that it is certainly uplifting to read that the universities are once again seeing students hungry for connection to God. I did not know that the author was a former agnostic, that is indeed interesting as I myself was a former agnostic.
