Harry Potter Fans discussion

This is where I will post everyones paragraphs of why they want to be mod. We are electing 1 Griffindor Mod, 2 Slytherin Mods, 2 Hufflepuff Mods and 2 Ravenclaw mods. I am keeping my spot because I created the group.

My name is Sarah! I would absolutely love to be a mod on this group. This is such a fun group to be a part of. I love how interactive this group is and how creative everyone is coming up with different ideas in the games. I am a Ravenclaw and would like to be a Ravenclaw mod. I try and keep up with all of the games and can I just say what an awesome idea to bring your group together. It's honestly the most fun I have ever had on goodreads. Hi, my name is Myra. I love this group on Goodreads. It's one of the best that I have joined. I love answering the polls and new topics. It's really fun!!! I want to be a mod for Ravenclaw because I love creating new polls and threads, and also just getting to know the different people who are answering them. Hi everyone, I'm Sophie! I am running for Gryffindor Mod, my previous position. I have been large a part of this group for nearly a year now. Just a few days after the group was created Julia asked me to help her out as a mod. I worked to keep discussions running and new members joining. I took it up as my own personal goal to create at least one new discussion every day. Of course, I have missed a few days because that is just human nature but I have always made sure to add extra discussions for the days I have missed. When Julia came up with the idea of each of us mods having our own specialty, I jumped on the discussion mod spot so that I could keep up my goal. A few months previously to this, I had thought that each of us moderators for the group should be called "prefect" for each house. I became Gryffindor Prefect since I am a proud Gryffindor! So truthfully I have been Gryffindor mod for about eight months now, much longer than we have had points and houses for all members. I am just hoping that you would vote for me so that I can stay as a large contributor to the group. I want to keep comment on all the wonderful things everyone has to say and keep adding discussions (currently I have over 750 comments). Lastly, I just want to say thank you to all the members of "Harry Potter Fans." Before I became a mod I wasn't sure how to show that I was a Harry Potter fan. Seeing so many other people like me just showed that I can be whoever I want and now I am much, much more willing to show that I a proud Harry Potter fan. Thanks so much everyone!

I do want to clarify. We are voting for House Mods only at this point. Mods who have spots like Discussion Mod, Game Mod, Photo and Video Mod and Poll Mod in addition to house mod will keep there spots for now. If this election goes well we will have an election next month for those spots. Anyone who would like to run for mod please get back to me by Tuesday. I will start the polls for who becomes moderator on Wednesday. If you would like to nominate anyone for a mod spot please send me an message with there name and send them a message telling them that you would like to nominate them as mod and why you think they would be a good mod. Hopefully we can get more people to run. As of now we have 1 person running for Griffindor and 4 people running for Ravenclaw. The terms of the mods will be 6 months. This term starts December 1st and ends June 1st

My name is Parafox, I am a Slytherclaw, and I want to run for Slytherin mod. Why I want to be a Slytherin mod is because no one seems a big fan of Slytherin and also, Slytherin is cool. I can't promise I'll be the most active, but I can promise that I will have a lot of ideas. I am mod in a lot of other groups, so I know my way around. And also, people who actually like Slytherin are just too few.

I would like to be a mod because I feel I am organised and can always be depended on. I'm fair and I always take tasks seriously. Anyone can come to me and ask me about anything and I will always be willing to help or try to steer them in the direction of someone else who can help if it is something that I am unsure of myself.

I think I would be a good mod because I have a really fun idea for the group, which I think any Harry Potter fan would enjoy!
I love to encourage people, and in this case, to earn points for Slytherin, (Proud to be a snake.)
I also like to think I am fair at math, so adding up the points wouldn't be any difficulty. I am also on Goodreads regularly- I check all email updates, messages, answer all polls I get invited to and love participating in the games. Next month, if the Discussion, Game, Photo, and Poll mod spots go up for grabs, I would love to be a candidate for game mod. I have some great ideas for games, and even a few polls (I have already made a couple of polls, I think the results of them would be interesting...).
I am also very skilled at Harry Potter trivia, and I could create things like Quiz games. I've made some quizzes through Goodreads, and left links for them in the 'chat' discussion.
I really hope you consider voting for me!

Ok everyone I am going to set up the polls for electing the mods. There are a couple of people whi have requested to be a canidate but not had time to send me there paragraph yet but they will be on the polls. Also all current mods will be put onto the polls. So please go vote! Thanks!

You do not have to be in that specific house to vote for there mods. Everyone can vote for all 4 houses mods.
