Tatiana | 35 comments Is it truly worth it to die for a family member or friend? Yes, you’d be a hero, but that person would feel guilty for your death for the rest of their lives. Is that “brave” act actually cowardly because you’re transferring the guilt that you’d have felt if you did nothing and watched them die to your friend, who has to deal with the guilt of causing your death?

I think the only problem with dying for others is the idea that it automatically makes you a hero. It's a difficult situation where you shouldn't run towards death and the problems of those you love, but you shouldn't run from it or them. I used to run towards the problems of others, but that was just an escape for me, to get away from my own.
