The Last Ever After
question
Im the only one who think the concept of good and evil is messed up?

You are good and you always be good dont matter what you do.
The same with the Bad.
Everybody in the school for good is so selfish and self centered as Sophie, but she is bad because...
Tedros is arrogant, selfish, act like is better than everybody, kill an innocent child, change his "true love" each 20 minutes, only care about his needs, want to kill the girls because was dumped, destroy a village because of that, never show any signal of remorse.
And he is pure and good?
Nobody changes, dont matter you try.
True love can be change like pants
Good is pretty, evil is ugly
Dont matter how much Sophie tried in the end she is evil and will be forever alone, like she feared.
I think the first book was awesome because seemed to defy this, but in the end nobody escaped their predefined fate.
I dont think that those are good messages for kids
Im the only one?

That is the whole point of the story. There is no good and evil. I think the story sends a great message to children.
Actually this story changed most of these concepts. As for Tedros not being good, in the last ever after you see him truly change and you see the softer side of him. People in the school for good are not selfish even if they were at the start. In the second book, you see the nice side of her. I recommend you read the books again to see if it changes your opinions because I think this book series is an amazing message for kids and I hope you see it too.
I think it has some TERRIBLE messages for kids if you read the second and third books. The second book has outright femi-nazis and its suggested that Sophie was like, born evil had has no chance of ever getting better and that true happiness can only be achieved with a romance with a guy. It implies their choice in the first book was due to immaturity...

The books are not about how good is pretty and bad is ugly it shows that not every good person has to be beautiful and that only bad can be ugly. That point is where Sophie and Agatha come in to break the stereotype, Agatha being the dark, not very open one while Sophia who is beautiful on the outside is actually evil on the inside.

I think this is a great book because it shows that you can't fight destiny. Sophie was fighting evil and the reaction was horrible. Agatha's and Sophie's story prove a point. The point of the story is that a witch and a princess can be friends. At the end like every single fairy tale, there is a good end. Good always would win. You also don't judge a book by their cover. This teaches many lessons to readers.
How is giving into destiny a good moral for anyone to learn?
The concept of good and evil is just crazy, Don't get me wrong this series is great, but you have to be perfect to be good, if not your evil. I think you should decide what you are and then you can prove if you deserve either side, people can change and No one can just have a label. At least throughout the books they do kind of say that your looks don't matter, especially in book one, but still.
