If you are looking for someone to create a friend, enemy, family member, love interest, etc. for your characters, this is where to ask!

Would anyone be interested in making Ming's (my character) siblings? Any of them work, but I would recommend doing something with the siblings that are Overlooked.

Oh, also, I was thinking of having the new character I have in the workshop be in an arranged marriage of some sort. Anyone interested in doing something there?

Well, in Ming's profile, I made the younger sibling a brother, but I can change it to sister as well. ^_^

Brother works for me! I wasn't clear if he had other younger siblings or not but i do like the idea of a younger mischievous, troublemaker brother.

Basically there are 4 kids in the Zhou family. Ming is number 3 and the one you make is number 4. :)

I don't think it would be too cliche!

when someone becomes part of the Overlooked, does that mean that they're in hiding in some dark cave or are they out in public?

I would think the extremists would have to go into hiding or else they'd be caught and exiled.

Members of the Overlooked don't advertise their membership, otherwise they would be exiled, like Ji Mei said. They can be hiding in plain sight, meddling in the background of things, or they can be hiding in some hole somewhere, because people recognize them as a rebel and could turn them in.

I kind of imagined baby bro possibly working as a merchant or spy something and then working with the Overlooked behind the scenes. I was wondering if maybe he got involved because his older bro did (not ming) and maybe that bro is a known Overlooked member. Also maybe he had been a bit on the fence about it because of his family and moral values, but maybe he had a fight with ming when he started drifting, which pushed him as a highly rash character to decide to go help the Overlooked.

I imagine him to be very easily influenced, but not necessarily mean-spirited or murderous

Haha, I'm glad you say brother, because I was thinking the oldest sibling to be a brother too. Maybe the second one is a daughter and then it's Ming and then Junjie. I like what you're thinking about. What kind of fight do you think would set things off? I think Ming might be stubborn about working and maybe the mom or dad gets sick at the time and they fight about how to get medicine or take care of them? And the older brother by then is an Overlook member and convinces Junjie about doing something else when Ming says to do stuff within the law?

Maybe since they're so close, Jun tells Ming that he ran into their older brother A and A offered Jun a job to help pay for treatment or something. And maybe Ming gets really mad and sort of forbids him from getting involved with A because it would be illegal and would only make things worse maybe he kind of writes off A for abandoning them and Jun gets defensive about him because he's still family?

I'm also kind of playing with the idea that the Overlooked are trying to pull off some kind of heist or something happens where they're about to get caught and Jun sacrifices himself to save someone (maybe A or Ming) and ends up getting exiled. Like he's not super involved with the Overlooked, but enough that he generally knows what's going on with the organization.

And then, if he gets exiled, maybe he could run into Cloria.

Well, it would be sad if Ming never sees Jun again if Jun sacrifices himself for A. But I think Ming might write off A when they are younger since he would think that would prevent Jun from following him but have the opposite affect and they part.

Also, I sort of think it might be interesting if Ming gets involved with the Overlooked later on; maybe helps make gadgets for them but I don't know if I want him to get exiled along with any of this siblings in the near future. But that's something that I have cooking in my head for Ming.

What if the Overlooked are trying to find a way to bring back some of the Exiled and Ming gets involved because he wants to get Jun back? Or maybe help save Jun before he is Exiled?

Ooh, that might be interesting. Hm... I think it would make more sense for Ming to try to get Jun back after he is Exiled. It would be a greater motivational factor for sure.

I couldn't imagine Jun trying to recruit Ming because he wouldn't want to put him at risk and he knows how Ming feels about the Exiled.

Or what if Ming gets recruited to infiltrate the Overlooked under the condition that his family doesn't get exiled?

That certainly will complicate things. I agree that Ming probably won't be recruited by Jun, but I do see him letting himself spy on the Overlooked. Maybe he starts off thinking that the people that hire him would keep their end of the deal, but as he works for both the Overlook and the gov't peeps, maybe Ming changes motivation and is trying to contact his family so that they know that they are being searched for?

Whichever you think works for your character development!

Jun I just want to stop living such a surface level life and recognizing that he's stretching himself thin. I feel like having him getting exiled might help him decide on the kind of life that he wants for himself. If he stays on earth, then he'll have to learn how to put down roots and adjust to the society, but if he finds a way to return, then he's gonna devote himself to finding a way to end the corruption.

I guess I'll just have to brood over it. :) Though, I think once we get to the rping part, I think certain things will come to light.

But I can see what you mean to do for Jun. I just hope that Ming and Jun have some resolution or something too. :D

Are there any Earthlings or Exiled that you guys think might want to be friends with Maryn or Elric? I'm working on him right now, but imagine a bit of a jerk trying to make the best of his situation but would still love to be the first man to get off the doomed planet.

I was planning on making one. ^_^ I think I came to a decision for myself.

I'm currently in the process of creating my character (Rhea) who's exiled and I would love to be friends with either Maryn or Elric! As of now I'm thinking she's going to be this fireball of angry passion but I haven't worked out the kinks in her personality or history yet. Do you think we could make a friendship between our characters work?!

yeah I think she and Elric would get along well enough. He's not the easiest person to get along with, but he does favor exiled Overlooked. Maryn is a pretty easy person to get along with too, so I could imagine them being friends as well.

Hey guys! I'm looking for anyone who might be interested in creating maybe two or three (tops) exiles who would have been kicked out of the Alliance with my character Cloria. She's looking to meet up with them to figure out a way to get off Earth.

Cool! I have some pretty minimal plans for them, other than the fact that one of them was the Overlooked who slipped Cloria the bomb, one was the leader of the particular cell that was planning the attack, and the last one was either the leader's son or brother. Cloria is planning on meeting up with them in New Orleans to try to convince them to help her.

has anyone claimed any of those particular roles?
