Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy

Read - I loved Thomas hardy so much when I was young. this was a loved book which I need to read again.

I read a number of Hardy’s books years ago, usually during summer holidays spent in Dorset. But I discovered I had missed this one - so it was an unexpected treat. I loved the descriptions of the area. It was sad to see how difficult people’s lives were, & the prejudices that some suffered.
