A Month in the Country by J.L. Carr

I loved this book! Although it was quite short, it covered so many themes. It’s in the “love” category, but describes a very gentle lifestyle, refers to aspects of war & even some issues about prejudice. It was wonderful & thought-provoking - I suspect that when I read it again I may discover more details that I missed this time.

I remember enjoying the descriptions of the peaceful country side.
