I am reading Made for You, by Melissa Marr. At first, the book seemed to be the typical romance/mystery novel. It has the group of friends, the drama, and of course the (not to occasional twist). So far the main character is Eva, she is a nice yet entitled person who is friends with just about anyone(24). In the beginning of the book you learn about the different types of relationships between the friends and their backgrounds. In the first couple chapters you learn that Eva is hit by a car by a mystery person and gains gnarly scars all over her face-I'm assuming it's her best friend who has been by her side through it all because she seems like the type of person who is always jealous and hiding something.(9) However, this part of the story is told by the person who did it. As this chapter of the story was told, the narrator was portraying Eva as a false idol, "In my heart, I raised Eva up like a false idol."(9) As I read this part of the story I automatically thought to myself that this person is an obvious psycho and needs serious help. While I continue my journey with this book, I am hoping to find out who tried to kill Eva and what shes going to do about it.

I tried this one two summers ago, but I lost the book on the devise I was reading it on and never started it again. It sounds like a teen horror movie.
This book sounds very interesting from this description, others that I've heard have never made me want to read it enough to actually try it. Having it be from the perpetrators point of view is a very different approach to a "stalker" book. I'll have to check it out.
That is scary. It goes to show you can't trust anyone and just about anybody can be a suspect. Sounds like a great book so far!
I loved this book! It was creepy in all the right ways. I'm so glad someone else is reading it so I can geek out about it.
This book just keeps getting better and better as it goes on. I used to think that Eva's best friend Grace is the one who hit her with a car, but now I am just not sure. Originally I thought that everyone loved Eva, as I continue to read it seems to be quite the opposite. Her parents are never home, her boyfriend hasn't even visited her, and her friend still seems shady. In the beginning of the book the author mentioned a character named Nate. He and Eva used to be really good friends until they abruptly stopped talking. I didn't think Nate was going to be a big part in this book, but I was obviously wrong. While Eva is still in the hospital she sees Nate. He finally starts to talk to her again and when he touches her hand, she has what she thinks are hallucinations. She foresaw his death. That isn't even the weirdest part, she saw his death as if she was him. I'm starting to think that the perpetrator could be Nate because when the narration switches to the attempted murder, he always talks about how he is in the hospital. And Nate is in and out of the same hospital because his brother has cystic fibrosis. But who knows, maybe Nate is innocent...I highly doubt it though.
This book is so good! The twists and turns just keep you guessing right? I loved he introduction a Nate into the narrative, and the use of the killer's point of view is a great tool that gives you just enough info so you can make a guess about who it is. Love it!
Made For You unfortunately did end up being a typical romance/mystery novel in a couple ways. However, this book had a really well written ending. Here's why, the killer ended up being a person you would never suspect. And of course Nate and Eva end up together(356). I was surprised at just how many more people died or were injured. In my last post, I had alluded to the fact that I thought Nate was the criminal, now I just feel bad about that assumption. My only regret is that I wish the book would have told me more details because I am left with wanting more. Then again, I love a book that does that. In order to add more details to this post I would have to spoil it. However, I am not about to do that because this book is too good to spoil. All in all, I think I found a new favorite author.
You need to read some of the other books by Melissa Marr! Her other stories are just as vivid and enrapturing as this one is, so hopefully you'd lime them. The ending was perfect to me, and I definitely didn't guess who the killer really was until she told me!
