I can highly recommend Neil Gaiman for the short stories. I'm currently reading "Smoke and Mirrors" which is beautifully creepy.

Well I managed to beat 2 out of 3 of my goals so a good year. I read 13 collections of short stories, I preferred the collections with varied authors rather than a collection by a single author. I read 23 books of non fiction, and am going to try to exceed that in 2018.I was completely useless at reducing my owned books and have more than I started the year with! So that one is carried forward too.

1. Short Stories. Hadn't read any short stories for many years but enjoyed a couple of volumes that I picked up in 2016 so aim to read 10 collections, as varied as possible
2. Non fiction Aiming for 15 NF books this year, again as varied as possible
3. Owned books Really need to reduce these. To make it more fun, I will let the Goodreads random sort feature choose me 1 physical and 1 Kindle from my owned shelves each month.
That's it. Wish me luck!
