Germantown Community Library discussion

Hey everyone! At this moment, I am reading the book "Coffeehouse Angel." It's a Young Adult novel about this girl whose grandmother owns a coffeehouse. One day she steps outside and sees what she thinks is a homeless person. She ends up giving him coffee and some food. Turns out he's an angel. I've not gotten very far yet, but I do like it. I'll hopefully get to read it during lunch today!

Sounds like something I might enjoy! I really enjoy young adult even though I'm old! Great writers!

Kids books and young adult books can be amazing! I recently read 3 books in the Chronicles of Narnia and I couldn't get enough. Working on reading Prince Caspian now! Unfortunately with the Holidays around the corner I find it so hard to get time to read. Meh.

I'm finishing up "The Only Pirate at the Party" by Lindsey Stirling. Its very interesting, humorous, and relatable at some points. :)

Hey everyone, I am on page 70 of Colson Whitehead's The Underground Railroad... all I can say is WOW and please pass the wine!

This is on my to-read list, well rather my to-listen to list. Lindsey narrates it herself. :)

As for me, I'm reading Watership Down by Richard Adams. It's slow going for me just because it is written from the perspective of a group of personified rabbits and they have words in their "language". Even though the story might appear to be for children, it is an allegorical tale of bravery and survival.

Just finished listening to the Will Patton narration of James L. Swanson's "Chasing Lincoln's Killer" on Overdrive. It is so intense and informative. I learned much that I didn't in school.

I'm finishing up "The Good Girl" by Mary Kubica this week. It's been a pretty good read so far, I would loosely compare it to "Gone Girl."

Awesome, everyone! I am currently listening to "You're Never Weird on the Internet" by Felicia Day. It's read by her and so far I really like how she reads it. Often with audiobooks it's a hit or miss with me.

Listening to the audio book of "Let's Pretend this Never Happened" by Jenny Lawson. Most of it's really funny.

Started "Lost Voices" by Sarah Porter.

Reading "Waking Storms." It's the second book in the "Lost Voices" trilogy by Sarah Porter. :D

Currently on "Behind Her Eyes" by Sarah Pinbrough. Anticipating a DNF though, because I'm a loser and spoiled the ending for myself soooooo unlikely I'll stick with it. :(

Reading "Once Upon A Flock: Life With My Soulful Chickens" now. Chickens are quirky.

"If Walls Could Talk: An Intimate History of the Home" by Lucy Worsley is what I'm in the middle of reading. It accompanies her documentary and I think also fits well with Suzannah Lipscomb's documentary series "Hidden Killers of the Tudor, Victorian, etc Home." :D

Reading "The Twice Lost" by Sarah Porter. It's the last in the series. I'm almost halfway through and I'm dying to know what happens next. :P

Just started reading "Pirate Hunters: Treasure, Obsession, and the Search for a Legendary Pirate Ship" and I find it super interesting! Really brings me back to my pirate-obsessed days in late middle/early high school xD

In the middle of reading "The Secret History of the Pink Carnation"!
