Just finished No Need for Speed: A Beginner's Guide to the Joy of Running. A nice pairing of a recent personal interest in running and, of course, reading. Plus he's literally my speed.Read a couple others in February but never had chance to post as I was overseas. They're reviewed and tagged on my shelf correctly though, I think.

More running reading. Phil Hewitt's "Keep on Running". Off pace on library books but had a nice KindleUnlimited run which was also nice.

Finished Blood Cross by Faith Hunter in two days. Ya, I'm starting to like this urban fantasy and seeing what everyone is talking about.

"really can't say enough good things about Hunter's series (and the spin-off), I started off reading them as place-holders between UF books I really wanted to read. But I got over that pretty quickly -- some of the best around.
I've been having a quiet reading month in March, and actually read 2 books I own!The only library book I completed was the audiobook of Dead Reckoning - Dead Reckoning is Book 11 (of 13) in the long-running Sookie Stackhouse Southern Fiction/Urban Fantasy series. It honestly wasn't anything special. If there were more books left in the series, I'd likely abandon it, but with only 2 books left, I'm planning to try to finish.
I have 3 library items in progress, so expect to have more to report next month (not to mention a vacation and Dewey's Readathon)

Well a vacation can help in the reading department especially if it's a non hectic one. Great job on read a few from the library and some that you own. Keep at it!!

I really like the mystery and the focus on Jane and her Beast. I'm not thrilled with the possible love interests, but I'm glad it's not a main focus. Make's it so much better to enjoy. It's also nice to see Jane grow as a character and learn a little more about herself and the supernatural world. So I can't say I'm in love yet with the series, but I'm very much enjoying it and understanding why people talk about it. I'll try the spin-off's at some point, but my main focus now is working my way through this series. Thank's for talking about it. It was you and one other blogger I follow who got me to really consider picking it up. ^_^

I'm with you on one love interest at your point (still complain about him in the last three Hunter posts I've done . . . ), as for the rest of her love life -- it gets better as she grows. But as I recall, I was absolutely uninterested in it for the first few books, too.
Beast is getting more and more personality, too. She's almost up there with Hearne's Oberon when it comes to UF animals.

Great to know I'm not the only one having issues with the love interests and also I'm excited now to see how Beast turns out. Sounds great!! ^_^

Here's my March List: The Dollmaker by Amanda Stevens-3/4/17
Calculated in Death by J.D. Robb-3/9/17
Thankless in Death by J.D. Robb-3/14/17
Taken In Death by J.D. Robb-3/14/17
Sacred Evil by Heather Graham-3/18/17
The Midnight Hour by Karen Robards-3/19/17
I was was getting organized to do something for April and it seems I never posted anything for March. UGH. So March was busy but I did get back to my library love fest.
Vortex by Cherry Adair
The books in this series are improving as they go.
Echoes in Death by J.D. Robb
I love this series! This was an excellent addition.
His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik
I loved Uprooted and since I listened to this on audio. I was on a trip and had less than an hour left and it was due. Luckily I was able to check it out again right away!!
White Night by Jim Butcher
Another audio with the narration by James Marsters (Spike!) I am loving this and as I go along I am buying them on audio as I am able.
The 4th Man by Lisa Gardner
This was a novella and I was happy the library had it since I didn't want to buy it. It combines characters from 2 of her series and was a great refresher for me on them for the next book coming out.
The Dirt on Ninth Grave by Darynda Jones
I own this in print as I do many in the series but I wanted the audio so I got it from the library. I didn't think I would like this book, based on the previous book, but I LOVED it.
And that's it for March. I'll update for April next weekend or so.

I have His Majesty's Dragon in eBook formate. Haven't read it yet. It looks good. I've also got book three in The Dresden Files. I just started reading Jim Butcher this year and I'm impressed. Love the male POV. Totally different. Haven't started Darynda Jones, but I have on my TBR. Everyone talks about this series.
Great job for march!! ^_^
