Right now I'm reading "We Were Liars" by E. Lockhart, to be followed by "The Impossible Knife of Memory" by Laurie Halse Anderson. I should be reading more J/Fiction, but find the YA titles so compelling.
First, as Beth Anne would say, "Don't bring library books to the beach! Sand is impossible to get out of the mylar cover!" :)The books I will be reading -- under the air conditioning -- this summer are: Stephen King's newest (Yeah, it's fun, "light reading" for me), as well as We Were Liars and Delicious!, because both Joanne's and Heidi's enthusiasm for each is too compelling to resist.
I'm reading "The Girls of Atomic City" by Denise Kiernan. Not exactly a beach read but so far an interesting read - and not to heavy. This is the library's afternoon book discussion book so look for more comments from me. I'm also listening to the "Cuckoo's Calling" by Robert Galbraith (aka J. K. Rowling), a murder mystery. I would classify this as a good beach read.
I just finished listening to "Girl in Translation" by Jean Kwok. I loved it. I can't wait to discuss it at our next discussion group. (July 16 at 1:30) There are lots of good topics to talk about.
