Ok I'm on the third part of this now. It reads more like fiction as it's so glossed over and seems like fate smiled on her a lot. Let me know if you agree.
Finished this today. I felt it too sugarcoated but I also can sympathise with her story. I don't think anyone that hasn't lived in a dictatorship country could possibly understand what they go through on a day to day life.
Started this today, a bit late i realise, but if im lucky i will finish before the end of the month. Book is very interesting so far, a story from inside north korea is very interesting.
Reading Lolita at the moment but very uncomfortable reading. Think I'll do a Games of thrones to break it up.
I enjoyed this. Seem to be developing a taste for these books about North Korea- we had one last year in this group. Very topical at the moment!
