The end of chapter 9. Pages 250-254.Best bit so far for me. We finally got the funny, it was about time.
I've already had my first giggle with Magnus and Catarina, chapter 5 page 142, but Simon drunk is now my first real laugh.
My love for this kid will never die, pure brilliance.
But i kinda expected the last line of this chapter cause well, there were enough hints really.
"My head feels so round" Simon said sadly. "So round"........

Yes, I was laughing out loud when Simon was drunk.
When Simon waked hotel dumort in the cage and he was wearing those weird clothes. Then Maureen came in and she was so happy to be finally be with him was also funny. I didn't saw it coming. I thought, after Camille, Maureen had changed in a monster, but then she was like this.. (page 124- 127)
Simon really got some funny parts. When I'm laughing out loud, it's mostly because of him.
Same here, I found the dressing up part good. It was interesting to see that she maybe a monster, but that the part that is obsessed with Simon is still there. Then she had different outfits for him. He's a vampire ken doll hehee. So far Simon is turning out to best bit of the book.
Yes I definitely agree. He is definitely responsible for most of the hilarious scenes in this book, has made me laugh so many times
Simon has always been my favourite, but now I love him even more! So funny :D And putting him in an outfit out of some bad vamp film was a stroke of genius. I was picturing Maureen as the young girl from 'Interview with a Vampire', all sweet and pretty in her big dress, but crazier than a bag of wasps.
