Hi Diana!
Welcome to the group.
I'm sorry, but your book is an historical romance not historical mystery. Our group is dedicated to the latter so I won't be able to add it to the master list.
Good luck.

Diana, I have a new one out that is co-authored with Sarah Glenn, a 1920's mystery set in old Florida.Murder on the Mullet Express. I would be happy if you would add that to the list. This is my first trip into the twentieth century. My previous books are set in Kentucky in the 1870's.
If any list members are Netgalley readers, Murder on the Mullet Express is still available to read there until sometime in March.
Add Betrayal at Iga: A Hiro Hattori Novel to this list. A ninja detective in the 1500's. Several books published in the series already, and they offer complex mysteries with really well researched history. Susan Spann knows her stuff! Her newest one is due out in July!
Homicide for the Holidays comes out in October. Setting is late 1930s Chicago and main character is a radio actress.
The Essence of Malice: A Mystery is out in September. It's the fourth in the Amory and Milo series set in 1930s England.
Russian Roulette is out in July, at least in Europe. This series just started being published in the States but you can get it through Book Depository (no shipping worldwide).
A Promise of Ruin is out in August. Setting in 1900s New York.
This Side of Murder is out in September. It's the first in a new series by the author of the Lady Darby series. This one is set in 1919 England.

I bumped into A Rising Man in the library today so will be reading it for my "new to you" author in Monopoly.

"Exciting! I didn't know she was starting a new series. I loved most of the Gaslight series.
I didn't know either until this popped up in my Facebook timeline today. She says she'll still be writing the Gaslight series as long as people keep buying the books.
Thanks Veronica.
I've added it to the master list.
It looks like a good book. I'm glad its set in the 1920s. This is a sorely neglected time period and such an interesting one.

Hi Lauren and other members -- I just found th historical mystery group and am exploring the topics. Is it appropriate for me to announce my own December 2017 release here? I don't want to break rules, especially since I'm new to the group.
Hi Patricia,
Welcome to the group. If your new release is an historical mystery then you can announce it here and I will add it to the list.
Hope you have a good time with us!

Gosh, I'd been wondering about that and hadn't got around to asking, though I've been here for a while! In that case may I say that Thicker than Water (Murray of Letho, #10, the tenth in the Murray of Letho series, is now out? Set in St. Andrews, Fife, in 1818, it's a traditional mystery beginning with a body in a professor's experimental fish pond.
Thank you, Lauren. Wishing Caswell Dead (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...) will be released by Five Star's Frontier Fiction line December 20th. It's a mystery that starts with the discovery of Caswell Proud's body. Who killed him? Hard to say. A lot of the residents of the Village of Sangamon wanted him to die. The novel is set in Frontier Illinois in the early 1800s.I know I'll have a great time here. I read almost all genres including non-fiction so my Read list is a real mix. My favorite historical mystery series these days is Susan Spann's Shinobi novels featuring a ninja detective and a Portuguese priest. Her research is amazing.
Patricia, Is that a first in the series or part of an existing series. I like to read a series in order.
Hi Alice -- Wishing Caswell Dead is a standalone...my first attempt at a historical rather than contemporary mystery.
Thank you so much! Watch for the Goodreads giveaways--Five advance review copies Aug 1-15. Later on I'll give away a few hardcovers.Alice wrote: "Great I put it on my WL"
A slew of favorite series have new additions coming in the next few months...A Treacherous Curse by Deanna Raybourn is due January 16, 2018.
A Brush with Shadows by Anna Lee Huber comes out March 6, 2018.
Why Kill the Innocent by C.S. Harris arrives April 3, 2018.
Thanks Meghan.
I will start a new thread for 2018 (can't believe we are approaching the end of the year!)
I will start a new thread for 2018 (can't believe we are approaching the end of the year!)
Just squeaking in at the end of the year (and I hope in the right thread this time) I have a new book, A Murderous Game, out this week.A red dawn breaks over winter woodland, where two men stand, pistols drawn. Political strife has come to peaceful Ballater, bringing death in its wake, and Hippolyta Napier is once more drawn to find out more – even when her own life is in danger.
This is the third in the Hippolyta Napier series set in 19th. century Scotland.
Hope you enjoy it!
