Because I'm a sucker for end of the year lists here is a list/challenge I came up with. :) 1. Favorite book(s) of 2016? 2. Least Favorite Book(s) of 2016? 3. Surprise favorite book of 2016 4. Book you're most exited for in 2017? 5. Book trend prediction for 2017? 6. A book goal for 2017? Here are my answers: 1. All the books V. E. Schwab wrote this year were amazing. The Six of Cows duology was fabulous. Also I loved the The Illuminae Files.
2. The Assassins Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke. It had such a interesting premises but seriously underperformed.(How could a book about a pirate and an assassin forced to work together be boring?!)
3. The Dream-Quest of Vellitt Boe by Kij Johnson was absolutely fantastic and reminded me why I love fantasy.
4. Illuminae Files #3, Iron Gold by Pierce Brown and Unearthed by Amie Kaufman. Also anything that V. E. Schwab will release this year.
5. I've noticed that there is a lot of YA sci-fi books slated for 2017. I think that's going to be a large-ish trend this year. (yay!)
6. Read a bigger variety of books this year, specifically nonfiction, That's it! Feel free to do this challenge and happy reading.
