What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Looking for a book that contained cartoons from one particular cartoonist. Name..?? I found this book in an independent store in the 70s.
These cartoons were somewhat dark humored-ironic. Somewhat like The Far Side. All in b&w simple drawings. For the most part no dialogue. Description of a couple: a bank robber gets a job at a bank. Works his was up. Then robs the bank upon old age retirement. (Simple time line drawing). Another: a man and a woman. The woman asks "do you (still) love me?" as she removes parts of her body. The man says yes to all until the woman cuts off her own head to which he says "no". Final frame response is "I knew it"
Any name suggestion would be great.
