I did not figure it out. I was suspicious of Sandy pretty early on but I thought he had killed his father, the judge, so I was wrong on that score. There were too many killers, I think, lol.
I thought it a gnarly mystery, especially when you overlay the mystical aspect and Indian lore. I didn't get much right but was always suspicious of Sandy. If Jo had opened her eyes, she would have seen his failings as a human being but not necessarily the extent of his evil nature.
I did not figure it out either! It was a big surprise. I agree Veronica how could Jo even think that her lover is the murderer.
I kind of gave up on guessing what was going to happen next when I wasn't sure if the murderer was something supernatural. I know I didn't like Sandy.
I was suspicious of Sandy and felt throughout the book that he had some hand in events. I wasn't sure how, but he seemed too good to be true. Plus maybe because he was a politician it made be wary of him.I felt for Jo. I don't think she could have seen through Sandy. He was very good at portraying an image to present the world.
