I really liked this story and very much intended to continue the series when I first read it but got sidetracked.
I got the next book on audio because I thought these types of stories translate well in that format so I'm excited about the transition. And, I was so happy when this was selected as our group read.
I promise that the next discussion topics will delve deeper. It was tough doing a more detailed recall given I read this so long ago.

No problem, Jonetta. You still managed to come up with some good questions.Oh, one thing I did want to bring up. What did everyone think of the priest's (Saint Kawasaki) involvement with the judge's murder? He didn't do it but he knew who did and helped to cover it up. The circumstances were such that obviously the sympathy goes to the murderer rather than the victim in this case, but, still, he's a priest. I felt a little conflicted about that...and I'm not even catholic! lol
I agree Veronica and felt the same way. I was really surprised that he helped to cover it up. I felt a little conflicted with this also.
The questions were great, Jonetta!!! Thank you! I wasn't too sure about this book as it seemed to be slow and hard to get into at times. I am down for the next two books though as I heard the series gets better :)
