Pantheonium was built over New York City, the center of the campus over the East River which divides the territories of the Egyptian Gods, located on the Eastern Shore of Brooklyn, and the Olympians, located on the Western Shore of Manhattan. This way, it belongs to no one pantheon, though it is built on a subdivision of the Olympian realm in Uranus(the sky).

The school's symbol, a 16 - pointed sun(though some can be shown as a 12 sided star, for the 12 Olympians), can be found on all school merchandise. Typically shown in a solid gold to contrast against the black used in all Pantheonium products, it is shown colored in four hues when found on school property, like on the marble floor of the main lobby.

Also known as the Argead sun, the Vergina Sun and the Macedonian sun because it was recently found in Macedonia Greece. Eight sided stars, and sometimes a mere six sided sun variants, are seen around as well.

The center point is purple for Roman emperors.
The four cardinal points are yellow, for Egyptian gold.
The four intercardinal points are green for Norse ash trees(Yggdrasil).
The eight secondary intercardinal points are blue for Celtic woad.

Pantheonium was founded by Perseus Jackson, son of Poseidon and husband to Annabeth Chase, a daughter of Athena who actually constructed the academy, a daughter of Isis, Sadie Kane, half-sister to Carter Kane, the son of Horus who helped get the Egyptian gods to approve of the school being built over their side of New York, Brigitte O'Connor, daughter of Brigid who helped the few Celtic demigods arrive safely to New York from their refuge in Maine, and Magnus Chase, a son of Freyr who was Perseus' cousin-in-law, who advocated for non-human demigods to be allowed to attend, an idea Brigitte was initially against due to her encounters with the Fair Folk and other monsters. Apollo was placed as the headmaster following the deaths of the founding four, all of natural causes - something they hoped would be the common demise of all demigods thanks to the protection the Academy offers. Originally, the only gods who taught where the troublemakers, such as Loki and the Titans, freed from their imprisonments and made to teach the younger generation to "not follow in their footsteps," this included Apollo, who, for a second time, tried to over throw Zeus. However, after the demigod teachers had passed on, more gods came to fill their roles, and found the profession enjoyable. It mended the rifts between inter-pantheon and infra-pantheon rivalries, to some extent. A statue of the founders can be seen in the courtyard, along with their close friends, often the victim of vandalism.

Jason Grace went on to found New Rome amidst the Berkeley Hills of California, a Greco-Roman demigod secret city. Magnus Chase went on to found Hotel Ygg, short for Yggdrasil, providing housing to all those who travel the Nine Worlds. The step-siblings Carter and Sadie founded the Nome, a home for wayward demigod children, particularly those of the Egyptian pantheon, which also does a lot of charity work for the homeless and runaway youth of Brooklyn. It has an elevator which leads up to the campus, so that the demigods who live there can get an education as well. There is a summer camp on Long Island for Greco-Roman demigods to continue to train when not at the Academy or prior to admission to the Academy. An online crash course in druidry is provided for those of the Celtic lineage. There is a movement to found more demigod academies over seas.

Magic - Seven Types of Spells
1. Blessings - improves the condition of an object, buffs and healing
2. Charm - alters the object's properties, enchantments
3. Ward - inibits the effects of other spells, protection charms
4. Jinx - irritating but amusing, maintained as long as one keeps eye contact
5. Hex/Vex - consistently affects the object in an inconvieniet manner
6. Curse - intended to affect the target in a strongly negative manner
7. Glamour - alters the appearance of an object, illusion and conjuration

Glamours can be called transfiguration if it changes the literal appearance opposed to an illusion. Wards are counter-spells and can form force fields around the caster, they can undo spells or prevent them from being cast in the first place. A vex lasts longer than a hex and is more negative in its effect, but the two are lumped together. Scrying is commonly done for divination, brewing refers to the making of potions, and casting is for the use of spells via hand movement or wands and staffs. Chanting or incanting refers to vocal spells. When something is charmed, it is enchanted or bewitched. Blessing can counter curses.

Apparition is a form of teleportation. Apparition is called Disapparition from the point of view of someone at the place being left, and Apparition from the point of view of someone at the destination, much like the words "disappear" and "appear". When overshooting a distance too far to teleport, or one has insufficient determination to reach one's goal, causing certain body parts to fail to arrive at the destination. This is called Splinching. Apparates or Disapparates unsuccessfully causes one to leave part of his or her clothes or body behind in their former location. The degree of splinching can range from minimal, such as loss of hair, to life-threatening, such as loss of flesh or muscle, though the damage is usually repairable.

In order to teleport, they must be familiar with the location before hand well enough to visualize it or have a photo of it to look at. A variant of Apparition used to transport two or more individuals at once is called Side-Along Apparition. To perform this version of Apparition, the more able party Apparates with the other party holding onto their arm. For the party who is unable to Apparate, they must hold onto the other as tightly as possible. Side-Along Apparition can also be forced, by grabbing hold of the individual as tight as possible before Apparating.
