Johanna walked into the Creative Arts classroom early, as always so she could sit down and be ready for class to start. Ms. Violet wasn't even there yet. She started doodling in her notebook.
Ingrid was already there, painting a picture of a sunset. She hadn't notice Johanna at all and was humming to a catchy tune.
Ms. Violet swept into the room. "Hello hello! Who's ready for another day of learning the arts?" she cried enthusiastically. Johanna looked up and said "Me," with a small smile before continuing her drawing.
Tom entered the room. He glanced around and saw Ingrid with a small smile before noticing Johanna and Ms. Violet.
The rest of the students gradually trickled in.
Ingrid heard Ms. Violet come into the room. She quickly finished her brush strokes and set the wet brush into a cup of water. She washed her hands and took off her apron, settling it neatly upon the pile. Then, she took her painting to the drying rack and set it among the others. Once done, she quickly went to her seat just as Ms. Violet started the attendance. She glanced at Tom, who was sitting right in front of her and she blushed.
After calling attendance, Ms. Violet set down her folder and said brightly, "Well now that the boring stuff is done, let's jump right in! I have a fun update... We will be performing a play! But wait.. you haven't heard the best part.. The play will be student written! There is a contest for the best story plot! Anyone can try." ((Just a basic idea not a script)) "So today's class will be if you are competing to start working on it and I'll help, or if you don't want to then we will continue working on our paintings inspired by the phrase "Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens." She pulled out some canvases, paint, water, and paintbrushes, setting them out.
Ingrid squeaked. She loved making plays. Even better than painting. She would have to brainstorm first. She was setting it all up when...She bumped into a girl.
((It's all good))Johanna had been bent over, opening up her desk to grab a paper and pencil to work on an idea for the play when Ingrid bumped into her. She jumped up with a start, "Oh sorry! I didn't mean to be in the way!" She said apologetically, slipping back into her seat with a pencil. ((We should like have them end up writing the play together))
Johanna started at the girl's forthrightness, "Um I guess sure! Why not?" She smiled and pulled her desk up to hers, assuming Ms. Violet didn't care.Ms. Violet saw the girls working together and smiled happily, "You are allowed to work in a group for your plot or painting too."
"Great! Thanks Ms. Violet!" Ingrid pulled out her brainstorming paper. "Well, I had some ideas..." she said, showing her the paper.
Johanna looked over the paper. "Neat! I have some ideas of my own," she told her, writing a few down. "Here this seems a bit illogical to me though, do you have any suggestions?" she asked, pointing to a section of the paper that had several crossed out sections.
Johanna held back a laugh, "Well yes, probably, I'm not sure they would accept a script with a same-gender couple," she explained.
"Oh okay," Johanna said. "Hmm how about Handsome? Just kidding!" She laughed. "How about... Matthew? Oliver? Nathan? Micheal? John? Joe? Johnathon?"
Johanna smiled back at her. "Ooo or we could give them rhyming names?" She cracked up at that. "Bill and Jill or Daniel and Staniell or Anna and Jonah."
"Sure!" Johanna agreed. "Should the first scene be..." she launched into a list of possible scenes based on their story.
"I like the one where it tells the story of the girl and then the boy... then how they meet." she said, picking one.
"Alright," she agreed. "Whose perspective first?" She wrote down a few notes. "Are these personalities compatible?" She made them opposites except for one thing. "I think it would be fun to have different personalities mainly."
Ingrid read the line: "Boring. That was one word to describe my life." "Interesting..." she muttered, smiling.
Johanna grinned at her and continued writing. Nothing exciting ever happens here. I wish something, anything, would happen. Johanna told her, "Careful what you wish for!"
"Alright class is over!" Ms. Violet announced. "Gather your belongings, I'll see you tomorrow!"Johanna looked at Ingrid in surprise. Had it really been an hour already?
Yoongi followed in after the teacher, a growing smile stretching across his lips at the sight of a piano pushed into a corner of the room. "Thank you, Ms... I'm sorry I didn't get your name. I'm Yoongi," he told her, bowing slightly in respect. It felt odd that he was almost the same age as one of the teachers, but in a way it was his own fault for not finishing school before going to bighit.
Jessica took a sharp breath as soon as she walked in through the door. It had been long time since she'd been here. The last time she'd been in here- She squeezed her eyes together, shutting that door of memories before it could open. She turned to the boy. "-Yoongi," he said, bowing. She shook her head. "Ms. Shen." She stated, turning back around to the room. "So... what art do you practice, Yoongi?"
